However, as wonderful as motherhood is there are also plenty of not so glamorous moments;) thus the title of this blog post! Yesterday was definitely what we moms refer to as "one of those days". As I have mentioned in earlier posts, tucker has been teething and has been unusually fussy and not sleeping well! On top of all of that, he has had a tremendous amount of drainage, also teething related:( so now he has been vomiting sporadically! So yesterday the boys and I ran some errands and all was going well. I decided to make a quick run to SAMs for a few things before nap time. I get both kids in the cart and we are just starting our shopping when all of a sudden tucker starts to gag and yep, begins vomiting!! Out of instinct I stick out my hands and catch it! So here I am, standing in the middle of SAMs with a pool of vomit in my hands. I see a trash can a few feet away so I push the cart with my elbows and make it to the trash can to empty my hands. Just as I am doing that tuck vomits again!! This time it is all over him and the floor!! An employee saw me and brought me some paper towels. I apologized and offered to clean up the floor, but he looked at me with a sympathetic smile and told me he would take care of it. He was probably thinking poor lady! Because by this point tuck was covered in yuckiness and Tripp was saying ooooh and yuck! Over and over!! Needless to say, I grabbed the essentials and high tailed it out of there! Once we got to the car all was fine and both boys were in a great mood, guess God knew I couldn't take much more;) Tucker's congestion seemed to get worse and last night was awful!! He was up almost every hour. All it would take was us rocking him for a sec then he would fall right back asleep, but he was up again and this went on all night! And of course, Tripp who never wakes up, woke up too!! To say I am tired today would be the biggest understatement of the year! I am drinking a triple shot latte as I type:)
Even through all the crazy times, I wouldn't change a thing! I am blessed to be a mom and to have these two precious and healthy little boys! Here are a few pics I snapped with my phone of a sleep deprived mama, a little boy not feeling so great and of a crazy little almost 3 year old!
Hope all have a great day! Thanks for stopping by! Time for this mommy to work out while I have the time, hoping that will restore my energy:)
Love and blessings,
Traci
