life is good.

We had a great and relaxing weekend this past weekend. Friday night we had some nice family time together. Saturday Carl and I had a much needed "stay-cation"! We got a hotel in the galleria area and went away for the night. grammy and coach and yaya took turns watching tripp and boy did he have a blast! All we heard was how good he was and not whiny one bit! Wow, guess he just saves all that whining for his mommy;) All we did on our little night out was eat really good food, watch a movie, do some shopping and most importantly RELAX! It was great and much needed....thanks yaya, grammy and coach! Although it was relaxing, I missed my little boy so much! There is no way I could spend more than one night away from him. I'm so used to having tripp with me everywhere at every hour of the day that I felt like a part of me was missing! carl and I even bought him a present. we love our little boy!

Today was a rough day! I wasn't feeling well this morning....so grammy came to the rescue! She came over and played with tripp so I could rest. She was a life saver and tripp of course loved spending extra time with her:) Tripp and I spent the rest of the day indoors and watched Cars (his favorite movie) 3 times today! He loves watching cars and is so fascinated with all cars and trucks....such a little boy! Tucker has been moving like crazy these days! I love the feeling of him moving around, what a blessing! Based on tripp's hyper activity and on tucker's activeness in the belly, looks like carl and I will have our hands full;) gotta love active little boys:)

we of course love it when daddy gets home from work and tripp will even stand in the window and watch all the cars goes by and say "da!" when daddy finally does pull in tripp gets so excited and yells "da,da,da!" its' so cute. Perhaps the cutest thing to this mommy is when tripp falls asleep in his daddy's arms and daddy is so sweet with him and takes him off to bed. I love to see it and it just melts my heart! I am so blessed to have such a sweet hubby and baby boy. I love my boys.

Ok enough rambling...here are some pictures.

Tucker

tucker giving a fist pump;)

I went to the doctor on wednesday to check up on our little baby tucker. I unexpectedly had an ultrasound...which was a nice surprise! This little boy was moving all around and like his big brother was more than happy to show us his "man parts" several times;) All in all he looks very healthy and is on track to be a big baby. He is already measuring 2 weeks ahead. I am 21 weeks along and cant believe how fast this pregnancy is going by. Not to mention how big my belly is getting! Wow, I look like I have a very large pointy basketball under my shirt! I will post some more preggo pics of me soon!

As for our little monster, otherwise known as tripp....he is doing really well! He is still extremely active and keeps me very busy but is so much fun to be with. I feel so blessed to be able to stay at home with my little man. He hasn't been feeling very good lately and has had a bad case of diaper rash but remains highly energetic despite it all! Today is the first day he seems to be getting completely back to normal. And luckily, it was his gymboree class day! He had a blast as usual and zonked out as soon as we got in the car! He is really into the movie cars and loves to say "cars"! He will point at his tv and say "cars!" until I put it on for him. He will then sit and watch for a few minutes at a time and point at the screen and say "cars!". It's really cute. He also loves to play with cars and can point out cars everywhere! He can also show you where his nose, mouth and belly/belly button are. My favorite is that he knows where his baby brother is. He will lift up my shirt and pat my belly. sometimes he will even kiss it or run his cars over it. It's so sweet! He is growing up so fast! I just love my little boy and can't wait to have 2 little boys to love:)

Enough rambling, just wanted to give a little update. Hope all are having a great week!

Happy Birthday Carl!

Birthday Lunch with daddy!

Yesterday we celebrated Carl's 28th birthday!! We are so happy and blessed to have him in our lives. He is not only my hero, but a hero to his little boy and soon to be other baby boy too. We had a fun weekend celebrating carl. Friday night carl and I went out to dinner to celebrate, just the two of us while tripp hung out with grammy and coach. Saturday we had a get together with some great friends and family and had a blast! Sunday was carl's actual birthday so we went out to lunch with his parents and brother. We spent the rest of the day together as a family. It was a great day and we hope Carl/daddy knows how much we love him! Happy Birthday to our Hero!!

Blessings

I have been thinking a lot about how blessed I am lately. I look at my little boy, my growing belly and my amazing husband and can't believe how lucky I am. I tend to get a little frustrated sometimes, as I'm sure all SAHM's do, but at the end of the day I know I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so fortunate to be able to spend 24 hours a day with my baby boy. It wouldn't be possible without the hard work, dedication and self sacrifices of my amazing husband. I can't thank my God enough for all he has blessed me with! I try to start my days with some quiet time with my God and boy does it get me going. I even notice a difference in my days when I don't give him the first part of my day. I just wanted to share my thoughts! Maybe it's my crazy hormones but God has really been revealing so much to me lately and I have been so emotional!! :) OK enough of the sappiness, here's a little info on what we have been up to.

Lately... we have been trying to keep busy indoors! It's becoming a bit of a challenge since my little boy loves to be outside, but due to the incredible heat, my growing belly and a 1 year old we have to try and stay inside as much as possible. The beginning of the week was challenging seeing as we just stayed home for 2 days and boy were we getting stir crazy! Usually by the afternoon we are so ready to go outside, so we get in our swim gear and play with the water hose, sprinkler and baby pool. Its about the only way to stand being outside for a lengthy amount of time! We usually end up over at Coach and Grammy's (since tripp loves running over there!) and he likes to run through coach's sprinkler's too! We are so fortunate to live so close to our families! Tripp's newest mischievous act is opening up water bottles and dumping them out all over the floor. He is really strong and no matter how tight we think we tighten the cap, he will work on it and get it open! Grammy found that out yesterday;) such a crazy little boy! Ok enough rambling...here are some pictures:) time for us to get ready for gymboree!!

wears himself out so much he can't even stay awake for lunch!

MISCHIEF maker!

We have been keeping busy this past week! And my little monster has been getting into plenty of mischief! He keeps me busy everyday!! We have been filling our days with lots of gymboree class and playtime, the children's museum (which tripp loved!), bible study/playdates, and lunch dates with my dad. We went to the children's museum with my friend brenden and her precious boy graham. Unfortunately, we didn't get much time to chat because both of our boys were off in different directions but we had a great time! Gymboree has been a life saver! It's a great place for tripp to safely climb and run and it's in the A/C...bonus! No matter how many activities we partake in my little boy never seems to be lacking in energy! I call him my little energizer bunny!!

Tripp seems to know exactly what he's not supposed to do and will usually wait until we are watching then do it! He also likes to put things in his mouth, come over and show us, then take off running! He loves to be chased!! He loves going over the coach and grammy's house and everytime we are playing outside he usually takes off through the pasture over to their house. The other day he even went all the way to the front door, started banging on the door and yelling "CO" ! (which is short for coach) It was really funny! He does keep me laughing, that's for sure! In fact this morning we took a trip to HEB. Well Tripp now rides in the big part of the basket during grocery trips because he likes to try to climb out and he cant quite climb out of there yet. Anywho, he was sitting in the cart facing out and being very quiet, which for this boy is usually not a good sign! I looked around to see what he was doing and he when he looked up I noticed he had opened my cherry tomatoes and was sitting there popping tomatoes in his mouth like grapes! He had it all over his face and clothes but was happy as a clam! It was hysterical! Oh this boy! And to think I have another one on the way! My life will never be dull, that's for sure!!

I think I have rambled enough about my monkey! Our other little monkey is doing well. I am about 20 weeks along and this little boy is moving all the time!! I don't know how I will handle another active little monkey:) Below are some recent pictures from the week, enjoy!

4th of July Weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend! But mostly we enjoyed having carl home for an extra day and a half! Friday Carl only worked half a day and then he joined us for some gymboree open gym. Tripp loved having daddy tag along and carl got a good look at how much fun we have:) Afterwards we ran some errands then went home and got right to work on cleaning out our spare bedroom so we can start tucker's nursery. Poor carl spent the evening moving furniture and painting! Grammy and Coach even watched tripp for a little bit so we could get a little more done. It was a very productive night! Saturday we continued cleaning and organizing and while tripp and I enjoyed a 2 hour nap carl finished painting tucker's room. Poor daddy worked very hard on his long weekend off....we love him so much! Saturday night coach and grammy came over for a yummy dinner and of course some great entertainment provided by our lil man;) Sunday we slept in a little bit, and got right back to work! By we, I of course mean carl;) We got so much done and feel one step closer to having our 2nd little boy join our family! Sunday night we had a great dinner with some great friends and tripp got to play with his newest buddy, baby max! He did really good with him, hopefully a good sign for the future:) And finally today...it was a little more relaxing:) We went to a 4th of july parade in my mom's neighborhood which tripp really enjoyed! He especially loved the firetruck and got really excited when they went by! We came home, spent some time in the yard with grammy and coach and then we went over to adam and jessica's for a fun and yummy barbeque. It was such a great weekend and we feel so blessed to have such great family and friends. Tripp and I felt especially blessed to have carl around so much this weekend:) Below are some pictures from our weekend and a few from the past week...enjoy!
