Lately...

We haven't been too busy lately. Just the usual hustle and bustle of everyday! Two weekends ago we traveled to Dallas to celebrate the wedding of my best friend Traci and her new hubby Matt. I had the honor of being her bridesmaid and we had a really fun weekend! We left our boys behind with my mom and Carl's mom. They were so sweet to take such good care of our precious boys! We missed them so much and couldn't wait to get home! I'm so used to having them with me everywhere...even the bathroom so it was really strange for me! This past weekend we didn't do much, just Hung out around the house, did some cleaning and spent time as a family.

Perhaps one of the biggest events of the past weekend was transitioning tucker into his crib. The transition went so smoothly and tucker has been sleeping like a champ! In fact last night he slept for 6 hours straight! I was of course up quite a bit checking on him, but I'm so proud of my big boy:) we also spent some time with Grammy and coach and yaya too. Tripp absolutely loves running around outside with his coach. He can't wait to start playing baseball with him too:)

We are so blessed to live around family. This afternoon we took tripp outside to play and he was running wild with rocky and aunt janelle's dog too! He had a blast and was super exhausted which means an early bedtime:)

It's hard to believe how fast our boys are growing up. In 5 short weeks tripp will be 2! I have already started planning for his 2nd birthday bash! Below are some recent pictures of my handsome little men:)

Two months

Our little guy is now 2 months old! We can hardly believe it. We have always heard that time goes faster with your second one and I totally believe that to be true. Tucker has enriched and blessed our lives in so many ways! We love our boys:) big brother Tripp has Been such a big help and has become so much more independent. we are truly blessed. Here are some of the things tucker has been up to.

-has started smiling
-moved up to size 3 diapers
-wearing some 3 months and some 6 month clothing
- eats about 4-5 oz every 3-4 hours
- sleeping better but not through the night yet
-makes the loudest grunting noises and silliest faces when making a "dirty"
-is pretty laid back
- loves his baths
- still has light hair and light eyes
-seems to respond more to mommy ( Tripp has always responded more to Carl so this makes me happy;))
-tries so hard to roll over when on his back
- tries really hard to hold his head up and can do do for a few seconds

Today I took our little chunky monkey for his 2 month check up and turns out he is quite the big boy! Here are his stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 2 oz. 100th percentile!
Height: 23 inches. 53rd percentile
Head circumference: 43.3 cm 99th percentile

As you can see we have a big boy on our hands! He is much bigger than Tripp was at this age by at least 3 lbs! And both of our boys have big heads so no surprise there:) the doctor said everything looks great and he is very healthy. We are very blessed and thank God every day for 2 healthy boys. Poor tucker had to get 3 shots and was not happy about it! He cried for about 15 minutes after....broke my heart, especially since I braved this doctor visit all alone:) Below are some pictures of my handsome little men:)

we love you buddy!

Like I said before, we are so blessed to have two healthy little boys that we love more than life! Can't believe in 2 short months we will have a 2 year old and a 4 month old! Thanks for stopping by and I will update again soon.

First Post of 2012

Today is my first official post of 2012! Hard to believe I have been blogging since 2009! anyways, we had a great past week and rang in the new year with family and friends! It was hard to top christmas week but this past week was a close second;) Carl only had to work 2 days last week so we were spoiled and had daddy around almost all week! The boys and I enjoyed it very much:) We spent alot of time cleaning and organizing and just enjoying time together. We also enjoyed spending time with both of our families and again stuffing our faces;) I also officially started my workouts post-baby! I missed working out like that! I started last monday and have not missed a day...and don't plan on it! Those of you who know me, know I LOVE working out, it is such a stress relief for me. I am so ready to shred this bit of baby weight I have left and then some:) Hoping to be back in all my clothes in a few months (I did pack up all the remaining maternity clothes on sunday...except for a few comfy pants;))

On New Years Eve we went over to coach and grammy's to celebrate with all of the Schindewolf family. We all ate some delicious food and got another chance to visit. Carl even bought a few fireworks and sparklers to try out with tripp. Tripp loved them!! He even tried to touch the fire! Such a little dare devil. Cousin kate wasn't too sure about the sparklers but had a good time outside with "trippey". We also enjoyed all the lights on Schindewolf lane one last time:(

New Year's Day we woke up and carl and tripp went to get us some breakfast. We ate, fed the boys and lazied around for a while. Then we got ready and headed over to my mom's for a yummy lunch! We had some delicious beef tenderloin, black eyed peas, cabbage, potatoes and rolls. We spent time with my family and I even got to sneak in a nap:) It was a great day. I feel so blessed to have 3 handsome men in my life...don't be too jealous ladies;)

Well it's time for a new year! So many great things happened in 2011...here are a few highlights for us:
  • tripp turned 1
  • carl got a great new job
  • we found out we were expecting another baby
  • We found out it was a boy surprisingly at 13 weeks!
  • We got a new car...a bigger one and just in time for baby number #2 on the way
  • tripp took his first swimming lessons and had his first gymboree class
  • carl and I celebrated 4 wonderful years together
  • tucker was born and completed our little family
  • we celebrated tucker's first thanksgiving and christmas
  • we rang in the new year as a complete family of four!!
We are so looking forward to what 2012 has in store for us, a few things we are looking forward to:
  • tripp turning 2!
  • tucker turning 1
  • going on a disney cruise!!
  • carl and I turning 29 and enjoying our last year in the "20's"
  • Carl and I celebrating 5 years of wedded bliss:)
Below are some pictures from the past week. Sorry for the disorganization, I posted some from my phone. Enjoy!
