Beep Beep...

cruising (or should I say sitting) in his jeep

As you can see our little boy has found something new he likes to do...sit in his jeep! He hasn't quite mastered the art of walking by moving his legs, but he sure can sit! He also tries to eat the steering wheel while sitting in his jeep! He's just so precious!!

Here I go mama!

peek-a-boo!

also lovin' his exersaucer...in front of the tv of course!

Here are a few more pictures of our little bean....enjoy!

love my puppy pillow!

As time goes on we start to learn more tricks to keep a little guy satisfied! I got to thinking about it the other day and here are some things that have not only entertained little tripper but also made mommy and daddy's life a little bit easier!

  • outside!
  • praise baby dvd (highly recommended!)
  • handy manny and the disney channel
  • george strait lullabys
  • baby swing
  • vibrating infant chair
  • activity mat
  • anything with lights and music
  • fans
  • stroller
  • sock monkey
  • soft stuffed animals
  • boppy
  • tripp's feet and hands;)
  • link-a-doos
  • rattles
  • anything that can be grasped and chewed on:)
  • mommy's clothes
  • daddy!!
  • teethers

Those are just a few of the items that have kept tripp entertained! It's amazing that in just 5 short months we have learned many "tricks of the trade". On a lighter note our little boy has found his "man parts" also known in our house as his weasel! (My sister Kelly and brother-in-law originated that term!) All those moms of little boys out there know what I am talking about:) Oh boy, the joys of having little boys;)

Today my mom and I took little tripper shopping with us. He was such a good little boy and has become somewhat of a little ham. He was charming ladies left and right with his sweet little smile...boy does he know how to make a lady smile;) When we got home he went to the store with his daddy. He came home with a dozen pink roses for mommy! what a sweet little boy (and hubby) I have. To say I am blessed would not even begin to cover it I love my boys and thank God for them every day!!

Sweet baby boy...brought mommy flowers!

thanks for stopping by! We hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend! We'll update again real soon:)

a few more firsts...

Tripp pre-snip with his yaya

(if you look closely you can see the long comb-over sticking up:))

We had a few firsts this weekend. First of all tripp had his first trim...or should I say snip! Tripp has had one very long piece of hair that kind of combs over on his head. Well this weekend we decided it was time for it to go! So yaya snipped it off for him and then spiked his hair like his cousins!

another pre-snip shot

snip!

woo woo!!

Sunday was a big day for us! Tripp finally decided to hold his head up! He has been a bit lazy up until this point;) We were really excited and now he holds his head up all the time! Yay tripper!!

look at me!

what a big boy!

Despite all the excitement in our house the last few days...we had a nice low-key weekend full of relaxing, organizing, taking care of things around the house and spending time together! Here are some fun pics of our big boy!

Tripp's fave toy...his feet!!

no this picture isn't upside down...this is tripp and how he woke up this morning...sideways in his crib !

Guess what I found....

MY FEET!!
Yes that's right little tripper has found his little feet! You would think it was the greatest thing ever! He stares at them in amazement thinking..."wow these are attached to my body and I can grab and play with them!" It is too precious for words!

taking a break from splashing...
Tripp has also had a few other firsts in the past week. He went swimming (not a first) in his first baby float and loved it! He was so relaxed and just floated and let mommy pull him around. He also had sweet potatoes and yep...loved them! He just got a huge smile on his face after his first taste! mommy ate a lot of sweet potatoes when tripper was still cookin' in the womb...had a feeling he might like em' ;) He still eats cereal every morning and mommy even puts apples or bananas in there sometimes. We have a good little eater on our hands:) Tripp has also found his voice. He likes to scream all the time and is quite the little talker. (He is sitting beside me talking up a storm at this very moment;)) He even makes a funny sound using the back of his throat...too cute! Can't believe how much my little baby is growing every day. Here are some pics from the past week...hope you enjoy.

love my float!

Hope everyone is enjoying their week. After some reflection and bible study this week I just felt compelled to remind all that God is always on our side and if he brings you to it he will bring you through it! Have a blessed day!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

"Happy BirthdayDaddy!!"
We had a great weekend! And Carl had a great birthday weekend. We kicked off the weekend friday by having dinner with lance and michelle at their new house! We felt privileged to have been the first guests they have cooked for! Tripp had a blast with his uncle lance and aunt michelle. Saturday tripp and mommy woke up early and decorated the kitchen for daddy. Mommy even wrapped daddy's present with a big blue bow...did you see it above?! However daddy's present was not cooperative and decided he wanted to eat the bow...haha! Tripp was really excited to celebrate daddy's birthday:)

Saturday, since the poor birthday boy had to spend most of his day mowing, tripp and I headed off to go shopping with yaya, aunt mo, and blake and jake. We had fun spending part of the day with them and even stopped by a yummy cupcake shop called frost (definitely recommend it!!) to pick up some treats for carl. Saturday night tripp went to spend some time with his yaya while carl and I went out for this birthday. We went to the movie tavern and had such a nice night out together. Thanks mom!! Today we rounded out the weekend by spending some time with adam, jessica, judd and joshua then heading over to carl's parents for a yummy steak dinner to continue carl's birthday celebration. Like I said it was a really fun weekend. Below are some pictures from the past week...enjoy!

So our little boy has been quite busy lately. He has discovered his own voice and loves to scream a very high pitched scream all day long! It's pretty cute but a little ear piercing;) tripp is very active and smiley all the time. He laughs and plays so much! He is just such a little cutie with such a precious personality!! We love this little boy to pieces!!
Well we hope everyone has had a great weekend and has an even better week! Thanks for stopping by!! We will update again soon!

Good times and great friends

swimming

So I have just have to make note that this is my 100th post! Wow!! We have had a very busy, very fun past couple of days! Thursday night we were able to go out to eat with adam, jessica, joshua and judd. It was a little hectic with the 3 boys but oh so much fun! Friday we went over to one of my best friends parent's house for a yummy cookout and to go swimming. Tripp had a blast in the pool kicking his legs and relaxing with daddy! We enjoyed getting together with the allums family! We love them so much and had a blast!! Below are a few pictures of our night!

(carl had to borrow some rather dated ones from mr. allums:))

On Saturday night we headed out to baytown to drop tripp off with his aunt mo, uncle buck and cousins blake and jake while carl and I headed off to one of our good friend's wedding. Tripp had a blast over there and didn't cry one bit! Uncle Buck even held tripp in what they refer to as "the birdhold" almost always guaranteed to put their boys to sleep when they were babies. Well as you will see in the picture it worked for tripp too! Right before his bath he zonked out and they said he was even drooling on himself! Thanks Kelly, Blake, Blake Jr. and Jake! Tripp had a blast!

"The Birdhold"

We had so much fun at Bailey and Ryan's wedding. Bailey looked beautiful of course and Ryan is a lucky man! It was so much fun getting together with old friends!! What a fun night...here are some pictures from the wedding.

Lance and Michelle gettin' down:)

Like I said it has been a busy but fun couple of days! However, our little guy had a rough night last night. He has been congested and could not breathe well and didn't sleep good at all...neither did mommy! Hopefully he will feel better soon, might have to make another visit to the doc tomorrow! Mommy doesn't like her baby being sick and has been giving him extra love and care!

Thanks for checking in and we hope everyone has a blessed week!!

Love and Blessings,

Traci & Tripp
