Memorial Weekend Fun!

me at 13 1/2 weeks

So I thought I'd start out this post with a picture of my bump since I haven't posted one yet! It has been such a fun filled family weekend. The fun started thursday night. My mom came over and watched tripp while carl and I had a date night to the movies where we saw the hangover part 2. It was hysterical and was so nice to get out for a few hours. Friday Tripp and I headed out to baytown to watch blake at his field day. We had a lot of fun and even got to do some shopping and have lunch with my sister and jake. That night we had dinner with carl's parents and aunt janelle. Saturday Carl, tripp and I ran errands and later we went over and celebrated my grandparent's 62nd anniversary! Sunday was another day of cleaning and errands then we rounded out the evening by having dinner with my family to celebrate my sister tiffany's 24th birthday! It has been such a great and restful weekend full of family and food;) Today we had a yummy lunch at my mom's then we took a quite eventful trip to the pool. I say eventful because while we were in the baby pool carl got stung by a bee....in his behind!! it was kinda funny:) Then on the way out tripp got really excited, started running, then tripped and fell and bumped his head! He now has a little knot on his forehead....my poor baby! Luckily (and surprisingly) I made it out without a sting or a bump! Despite a few setbacks, it has been a great weekend and we have enjoyed having carl around for an extra whole day! I am so blessed and can't wait to have another handsome man around;) Below are lots of pictures from this weekend and past week...enjoy!

Below are some pictures of my gender revealing cupcakes. I had originally planned to have a gender reveal party when we found out what we were having, but since we found out so fast and unexpectedly...I knew I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth shut long enough to plan a party! So I made the cupcakes I was planning on making and was able to give them to a few close family members and friends!

Summer Fun

mommy's little man

We had a fun weekend full of all kinds of adventure;) I will start with our fun sunday. We slept in, went and had lunch at los cucos (this mama has been craving some mexican food), ran errands, then went over to visit coach and grammy. While we were playing in the backyard, coach got out the sprayer to water the plants. Well, our little boy decided he wanted to play in the water! It was hilarious and so precious and thus sprung about the following photo shoot...enjoy!

As you can see tripp had a blast and we all had so much fun watching him splash about! On Saturday I started off the day by attending a baby shower for a friend in baytown while carl and tripp had some daddy/son bonding time back at home;) Later on in the afternoon we had the pleasure of attending a retirement party for carl's aunt janelle. We felt so honored to be a part of her special day! It was amazing to see just how respected and loved she has been at her work for the last 40 plus years! Congratulations Janelle!!

On another note, I am officially in my second trimester! Yay! I am now 13 weeks along. I have been feeling even better than before but still have an enormous appetite! Lately my cravings have consisted of jalapenos, queso, eggs, quesadillas, meat, salad, sandwiches, burgers, etc;) perhaps the most intense craving lately is jalapenos! I could literally put them on everything!! The best part about the second trimester is the energy! It's amazing how much more energetic I already feel! That's a good thing especially because I have been slacking on my workouts, but not anymore!! My bump is growing at a rapid little pace and I promise to post pics soon!! Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl peanut!

It is a week full of birthdays and I wanted to give a little shout out! Today is our good friend Lance's, tomorrow is my grandma's and sunday is my little sister's! So, Happy Birthday! We love you all and cant wait to celebrate!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed week all.

Love and Blessings,

Traci

My Little Man

wearing daddy's boots

We had another fun and relaxing weekend! We had lots of fun and lots of family time not to mention lots of rest:) On Saturday we went and watched my nephew blake's last baseball game of the season. It was a close game but they won! It was an 8 am game so we were up super early! I told Carl that we had better get used to it...that is what we have to look forward to:) I can't wait until tripp starts little league...fun times ahead!! After the game my wonderful mom treated us all to a delicious lunch at monument inn! It was super yummy!! Today was a nice lazy sunday. We rested, ran errands and spent the day together. We even all took a nap...even carl! For dinner we went and had some yummy bar-b-que with mom and keith. Thanks again mom!

Our little munchkin is changing so much everyday. He is officially off the bottle for a whole week now and has done so well! He has started saying "ba" for ball and will point right to it. He also will stomp his feet when we say "stomp". The other day I was giving him apple jacks when he stopped and placed one on the floor. A second later he stomped his foot down on it and then smooshed it into the ground. It was hilarious and I have no idea where he learned that! One thing I absolutely love these days is when he comes over to me and turns his back to me meaning he wants to sit in my lap! When i'm sitting on the floor he will come and sit right down in my lap. I love it!!

Our other peanut is doing well. I am now 12 weeks along and doing great! My belly is poking out a lot faster than it did with tripp! pictures to come;)

Well enjoy the pictures of our little man:)

well we made it through 3 days (and working on the 4th) without the bottle! I have to say, it has been pretty smooth sailing. My little boy is a champ! He may be a champ, but he's still a little monkey, right now he is dancing on top of the coffee table while watching mickey mouse! Better go get him off. Hope all have a great rest of the week:)

A Happy Mother's Day Weekend

I had a wonderful mother's day weekend! It all started friday night when carl stayed home with tripp while I went to the movie tavern with my mom. We had some yummy food and saw the movie "something borrowed". The movie was based on a series of books that I read and I couldn't wait to see it. It was really cute and I had a great night out! On Saturday Carl, tripp and I went and had lunch with my mom at mcallisters. It was delicious:) Afterwards, mom, tripp and I went and did a little shopping while carl headed home to do some yard work. Saturday night we had a yummy dinner at carl's parents house then we came home and all went to bed! Sunday I woke up to my precious baby boy and sweet hubby! Carl went out and got me some breakfast, brought me some flowers, a precious baby charm and a sweet card from my boys! They even took me out to lunch:) It was a great day. We made our rounds visiting our moms and my grandmother then ended the day having dinner with carl's family. It was a wonderful weekend!

I didn't take a lot of pictures....shockingly...but here are a few.

tripp with his yaya

Tripp is getting so big! Sometimes it's hard for me to believe that I dont have a baby anymore, but a TODDLER! wow! Well yesterday was not only mother's day but was a big day for tripp. We went a whole day without a bottle!! We are continuing with it today. So far so good!! He does get a little fussy around nap and bedtime but we powered through! Haha...here's to hoping we can put the bottles away...at least until november;)

On a different note, I am now 11 weeks along. I have been eating soooooo much! Some of my cravings include: red meat, mexican food (especially chips, salsa, cheese enchiladas and quesadillas) , salad, salty foods, pinapple and LOTS of water. Today Tripp and I went to target and on the way home, at 10am, we stopped at taco cabana and got some chicken quesadillas! They were very good and yay for taco c for serving regular food at anytime of the day! Tripp loves "dillas" too so were munching together this morning:)

Well that's about all that has been going on in the schindewolf house. We hope all you moms out there had a special day! Thanks for stopping by! We will update again soon:)

Love and Blessings,

A busy little boy...

My little munchkin has been very busy these days....busy getting into all kinds of mischeif! Between climbing, flushing the toilet, turning on the faucet and running around, not to mention the fact that he has mistaken our couches and tables for a jungle gym! He truly has been living up to his nickname...little monkey! Tripp also LOVES to go outside. In fact, he cries everytime we open the door and he can't go out. And when we try to bring him in well that's a fit waiting to happen;) The other day he was even playing in an ant bed! He was throwing the dirt around and cracking up....despite the fact that he had ants crawling and biting all over his hand! He didn't cry once, until I tried to bring him inside:) No matter how crazy he gets I love every minute of it! I am so blessed to have a very healthy and energetic little boy!

This past weekend I wasn't feeling well so on Friday night Carl had to take over full time tripp duty. He was worn out after a couple of hours! I was thankful for the rest time, boy did I need it:) Saturday tripp and I went to lunch and shopping with my mom, sister and 2 nephews. It was like a circus but oh so much fun! We never dreamed we would have so many active little boys around! Sunday was a nice lazy day spent together as a family. It was an uneventful weekend but we all got a lot of rest!

This week I am 10 weeks along. I am feeling great just still really hungry all the time. Tripp and I went to the store this morning and since I happened to be hungry...we got LOTS of stuff! When I got home I started looking at all the groceries thinking, wow what did I buy?? HAHA! I go to the doctor again on Wednesday for my next check-up on the little peanut. So far so good:)

Below are some pictures of our monkey. Enjoy and have a happy monday!

jungle gym?

I love to flush the toilet! (and yes he climbs up there all by himself!)
