cowan/starr halloween bash 2012

This past weekend we attented the annual cowan/starr halloween bash. It was super fun as usual, except this year it actually felt like fall and we actually had to bring jackets!! Last year, we were wearing shorts and t-shirts and I was 8 months pregnant!! The cowan/starr clan worked so hard to put together another successful bash! They had carnival style games, a bounce house, a fortune teller, pony rides, bull riding, haunted woods, delicious food and so much more!! Tripp especially had a blast and of course had us running around like crazy:) We didn't get to stay as long this year because although the weather was delightful, it meant runny noses and fussy boys! Thanks again to steve, jeanette, amy, dan, brian, clari and all of the rest of the crew!! We had so much fun!! Here are some pictures.

As you can see we had a blast! Unfortunately, I didn't take very many pictures because I always seemed to have a fussy boy in my arms or close by! Oh well, at least I got a few:) This is going to be a busy week preparing for tuck's first birthday bash next weekend!! We like to do things big with lots of family and friends, is there really any other way;) Just another reminder of how blessed we are:) Hope all have a great week. Thanks for stopping by.

Please continue to pray for susie. She is by far the strongest person I know. I love you with all my heart and so do all your boys!! Thanks to all for your prayers!! I know she appreciates them too!!

lately

Before I get started on my usual banter, I would like to ask for all to pray for our grammy. She is going through a rough patch and needs us all to lift her in prayer and ask that she be filled with peace, strength and faith:) Thank you all for your prayers!!

lately, we haven't been up to too much. Last weekend the boys both developed runny noses and were super fussy and carl and I were both feeling under the weather as well. Luckily, we were able to have a decent saturday full of 2 birthday parties and a wedding shower before the yucky stuff came about:) I took the boys to the doctor only to find out it was probably just allergies, so we have been powering through with loads of boogie wipes in hand;) One of the parties we went to was a train party where we were able to ride on these mini trains! It was so fun and tripp had a blast:) Tripp has been really into trains, cars, airplanes and all things boy! So when grammy and coach decided to give the boys their combined birthday present early, tripp was thrilled...did i mention the gift was a train table!! Tripp has been playing with that table non-stop, carl and I even joke and talk about what a great baby-sitter it is:) Anyways, that's about all we have been up to lately. Oh and planning and gathering things for tucker's first birthday bash!! Can't believe he is almost one! We are celebrating a few weeks early, due to so many other conflicts in novemeber, but still!! He is so different than tripp was. Tucker is not walking yet, tripp was. Tucker is super lazy, tripp def was not! However, tucker is a lot more vocal than tripp was at this point and yesterday even said ba, ba (bye, bye) and waved to the walmart lady!! He is now weighing in at a little over 22 lbs!! I thought he was still around 21 and a half, but he got weighed the other day and I was surprised, especially since he hasn't been a great eater lately, a trait both boys share. Crazy, but I guess in a few years when they are eating us out of house and home, I may miss these days;) Ok, enough chatter here are some pictures.

11 months

Our little monkey is now 11 months old!! I cannot believe it...I say this every month, you'd think I would believe it by now;) haha. Anyways, he is growing so fast and is such a light in our lives!! Here are some of the things our tuckey is up to these days:

-still drinking several bottles of his special formula a day
- really loving table food and seems to be able to tolerate a lot more (rice seems to be the main food he cannot tolerate)
-size 4 diapers
-18-24 month clothes
- weighs around 21.5lbs
- loves Cheerios
- still log rolling around everywhere
-loves to stand up
-laughs and smiles all the time
-is a mama's boy
-loves playing with his brother
-loves to jump and swing outside
- waves, claps and shakes his head
- says mama, dada, and baba
-takes 2-3 naps a day
- sleeps from about 7:30-6:00
-has 2 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth and more coming in on top!
- is so sweet and fun loving and loves to snuggle:)

As you can see our little man is growing up. I can't believe that he is almost 1! In fact I have been busy planning his first birthday bash!! I'm excited but also sad that my boys are growing up. We are so blessed to have two sweet, healthy, good hearted, active little boys! I love being a mommy:)

I also have to brag on Tripp for a sec. He goes to Mother's Day out once a week. He had a rough time being away from me at first, but today he walked right in, no tears and even blew me a kiss goodbye! I admit, I had a few tears but am so proud of my big boy!

Ok here are some pictures:)

Thanks for stopping by!

Cousin Shayna's wedding weekend

This weekend was a fun one! Carl's cousin Shayna got married and we were all blessed to be a part of it all. It started friday night with the rehearsal dinner. It was at los cucos:) We had some yummy mexican food and margaritas and got to celebrate shayna and kyle. We brought tripp with us but left tucker at home so he could go to bed. Special thanks to my awesome little sister for watching him:) It was a super fun night and tripp especially enjoyed hanging out with his grammy, coach and cousin kate:)

Saturday was the wedding day, but before all the festivities began carl and I took the boys to the mall. While I did some shopping with tucker, carl took tripp to play for a bit. Then we all headed to the food court for some chick-fil-a and a carousel ride:) tripp loved it!! After all the fun we headed home and put the boys down for nap. Last night my sweet mom came over to watch our boys while carl and I headed to the wedding and reception. It was a great night full of family and fun memories!! So glad we got to be a part of it all and thanks again mom for taking good care of our boys...I know they loved the time with their yaya!!

Ok, enough chit chat, here are some pictures:)

Pumpkin Patch 2012

We have been trying to play catch up on so much house work, laundry etc. since we got home from our cruise. I think I am finally getting caught up and back into my routine. This morning I worked out, did my my daily bible study, did a load of laundry, went grocery shopping, fed the boys lunch and put the boys down...I am feeling very productive:) Anyways, on sunday we took advantage of the beautiful fall weather and took the boys to the pumpkin patch...a yearly tradition in our house. As you will see our pictures weren't as great as we had hoped. It's really hard to keep an active two year old still for more than a second;) Nonetheless, we had a great time! We even took the boys on a train ride, which tripp was super excited about! He kept saying choo choo!! It was another great family memory:) We came home from the patch and I made a big pot of chili with some cornbread and snicker doodle cookies. It was a great fall night!! Enjoy the pictures below:)
