Outside

I know I say it all the time, but we love living where we live!! We are blessed to be around our family all the time and we have so much room for the boys to run and play! Yesterday was such a beautiful day that I think we spent most of it outside. I started my day with a run all by myself! What a great start to the day:) once I got back, Carl and Tripp were out the door! Tuck had to take a little snoozer before he went out;)

Yesterday, Aunt Janelle bought a new basketball goal for this slab of concrete that is in between her house and coach's house. Carl has been thinking about doing that for some time now so we were so excited when she came home with one! Carl and aunt Janelle spent most of the morning getting it put together, once it was up everybody went in and took a rest then later in the day we were all back out there again:) Tripp had a blast playing basketball!! Tuck enjoyed playing with his toys on the slab and watching, and daddy, coach and aunt Janelle all played too!! Just another fun thing for us to do!! We are so blessed! Here are a few pics, again snapped with my phone! Really need to carry my camera out with me!!

Playing basketball!

Dunk time:)

Carl was really excited about this pic I snapped;) he and coach were "alley hooping";)

Sweet boy!

Our day wouldn't be complete without a ride with coach:)

Tuck needed a break from all the excitement:)

Chuck e cheese

So recently Tripp has been seeing the chuck e cheese commercials on Disney channel and that's all he talks about! He says "chuh e chee"! Carl and I decided to take the boys last night. Tripp had a blast!! He did not want to leave and of course cried when we did. Tucker kept trying to climb out of his high chair to play! It was crazy but fun!! When we made Tripp sit down to eat some pizza, he was shoving pieces in his mouth and even tried shoving some in Carl's mouth too!! He knew he couldn't go play until he finished his pizza. It was pretty funny!! Such a great family night:) definitely a good place to use as a reward for Tripp!! Here are a few pics I snapped with my phone.

Mmmmmm!! Pizza!!

Thank you Lord for a fun family night:)

Some pics and an update

It's been crazy as ever at our house, but that is just normal for us:) with the weather being so cold and rainy we have been spending a lot of time cooped up indoors! Luckily we have managed a few play dates, hanging out with coach, running errands, going to Mother's Day out and finding some fun activities around the house! With the little sunshine we have had we try to get outside for a few minutes at least! And sometimes coach will come get Tripp and take him out to play! He loves that!!

Today tucker is 14 months old!! Cannot believe it. He ha made so much progress this last month in mobility. He's crawling and cruising everywhere and getting into EVERYTHING! It's so different from Tripp, he was walking right before he turned one and he was climbing out of his crib at 15 months!! I've learned to stop comparing the two because they are polar opposites!! Tucker is trying to climb up on stuff now, maybe he will be a little like his brother after all;) I will probably wait until tucker is 15 months before I do a blog post with updates on him.

We love living so close to our families and being able to spend lots of time with them. Last night we made it to Lubys for a "family dinner". It was with Susan's family to eat with some cousins from out of town. There were probably around 30 of us there! You will see in the pic i snapped below;) Tripp had a blast playing so many cousins. Two of the bigger cousins, Emma and Anna played with tucker and were so great with him! It helped out a lot since Carl was late because he got stuck at work. I joked that I had my surrogate husband with me, coach who graciously offered to ride with us! He is always such a big help with the boys and they love their coach!! Such a sweet bond between coach and his grandsons:) ok enough chatter here are some pictures:)

Love this boy!

Tripp loves to relax in mom and dads bed!

We missed you Grammy, but we know you were there with us:)

Playing catch up

Lots to catch up on! This past week my mom celebrated her birthday! It was on Thursday so while Tripp was in school, tucker and I went to her work and brought her some lunch. We also made a cake for her and Tripp couldn't wait for her to come over so he could sing to her and help her blow out her candles:) since her birthday was during the week, my sisters and I waited to celebrate with her until the weekend. So yesterday we took her to lunch and a movie. It was so much fun getting together with the girls and having a little me time! I was having such a good time, that I didn't take any pictures:( oh well!! Happy birthday mom!!

This past weekend we also decided it was time to go cold turkey on the bottle! I have tried several times in the past week to trade Tucker's bottle out for the cup but no luck! He would throw the cup across the room and scream!! It was too much to handle with both boys so I decided waiting for Carl to be around for some relief was probably a good idea. With Tripp the transition was super smooth, we just have him a cup instead of his bottle and he never looked back. So I figured the same for tuck right?? Wrong!!! We started yesterday morning and it was rough!! We must have tried 5 different cups and all he did was scream!! Finally Carl got the idea to put the cup lid on his bottle and see what he did. It worked like a charm! He looked and saw his bottle so he took it immediately. Smart cookie!! The next step would be to put the top on his cup. It was time for me to go with my mom and sisters so I left it like that. A few hours later Carl sent me a text message with a picture that said "super dad". There was tucker drinking out of his cup!! Way to go daddy!! So that is where we are now. Going on day 2 with no bottle. Wish us luck!! Next step, potty training a stubborn 2.5 year old boy!! Lots of big changes in 2013:)

We also managed to get rid of lots of baby stuff and continue cleaning up our house! So far so good on my goals for the new year! Ok here are some more iPhone pictures, I did download some from my camera but the blogger site keeps messing up! Will gets those on soon:)

Even though they lost, we still love our texans!!

Happy birthday yaya!!

Visiting yaya at work

Cheese!

I think coach liked his Christmas present that finally came in!!

Sweet boy before no more bottle

Throwing a fit because he wants his bottle!

Step one!

Success!! Way to go super dad!

Ok, now I normally don't post pics of myself but I've decided to do so to hold myself accountable to my fitness goals this year and to tone up more!! I hope to see some progress this year:)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope all have a blessed week:)

Blessed

Last night as I was holding tucker and watching Carl and tripp playing, I couldn't help the big smile that spread across my face and in my heart! I am truly blessed with the most amazing husband and father and two healthy and precious little boys! Thank you Lord for your blessings in my life!

Last night we had a dinner date at pappasitos! And by we, I mean me and my three handsome boys:) the boys did really good, they watched special agent oso most of the time on the iPad and ate chips:) it was a great night!

Other than that, most of the weekend was spent around the house, running errands and organizing! Carl helped take down decorations on Schindewolf lane yesterday and When I took the boys out there Tripp even helped out, super cute!! Ok here are some pictures from my iPhone. Hopefully I will load pics from my camera on to my computer soon:)
