Christmas 2013

Wow, we had a wonderful Christmas this year!! We are lucky enough to celebrate 5 times each year:) It can get pretty crazy, but we love every minute of it! We are blessed with such wonderful families:) The sunday before Christmas, we went to the annual Cowan Christmas party. Susan had such a large family. It is so much fun getting together with so many aunts, uncles and cousins:) The boys had a blast and got some great gifts! Santa even made an appearance:) On Monday evening, my mom watched the boys so Carl and I could attend Christmas services. It was a great service and afterward we got to stop and have dinner:) Next year we will take the boys! On Christmas Eve, we had 3 parties to attend! It started with our annual breakfast and present opening gathering with coach, erik, Kristen, kate and abbey. We had a great time as usual and again the boys got some great gifts:) After breakfast we all headed next door to Aunt Janelle's house for the Schindewolf family Christmas. We had a delicious lunch followed by presents and family time. Again, we had a great time! After lunch, we walked on home to which both boys passed out! good thing, because about an hour later it was time to pack up once more and head over to my dad's for Christmas dinner. We had a yummy dinner and dessert followed once again by more presents!! We all got so many great things!! It was an exhausting day, but a fun one!! Christmas Eve, we put the boys to bed and carl and I did our gift exchange together, while drinking coffee (we were sooooo tired!) Even though we got a new washer and dryer, my sweet hubby still surprised me with a kitchen aid stand mixer that I have been wanting!! Not only that, but a dozen roses and a new tervis that I love so much!! Christmas morning we woke up with the boys and found that santa had come!! The boys had a blast opening presents and we had a blast watching. Christmas is so much more fun with our boys:) After presents I made a yummy breakfast casserole and coach and aunt Janelle came over to eat with us and join in on the madness;) The rest of the morning was spent putting toys together, attempting to clean up and playing outside so the boys could ride their new truck:) For lunch we headed over to my mom's. We again had a delicious meal followed by, yep, more presents!! It was a great week and what made it best, was not the presents, but spending time with our families. We are so blessed. Below are some pictures from all the fun! Just a warning, it's an overload!! Enjoy!

Christmas Festivities

What a fun weekend we had! Carl had to work on Saturday morning, then came home and helped to finish up the decorations on schindewolf lane! The lights were turned on Saturday night for the season! We are so blessed to live here all the time, but especially at Christmas time!! We can walk down the winter wonderland anytime;) After Carl finished we all got ready and went to have some Mexican food and drive around looking at lights:) The boys loved it!! It was such a special night. We of course ended the night on the lane and got to visit with Janelle and uncle jimmie and aunt carrie who were also outside:) Sunday morning I spent making home made Christmas cookies using an old schindewolf recipe! Later, tripp was in his very first Christmas program at his church school. He had been singing his song and practicing for weeks! When he got up on stage, he kind of froze and just looked dazed at all the people in the audience! It was hilarious. He didn't even sing a word! Coach, Aunt Janelle, Uncle Jimmie, Aunt Carrie, Yaya and nana all came to watch him make his debut! Thanks to all for coming!! We are truly blessed:) Sunday evening we continued our tradition. We had carl's brother, wife ,their girls, coach and aunt janelle over for dinner and cookie decorating. Afterwards we all headed out to the lane to look at lights. It was a fun night and a super fun holiday weekend!! Here are some pictures:)
