25 Weeks and Oh So Thankful!

The Bump: Week 25

Wow, we have now entered the third trimester! I can't believe we are here already. Tripp is growing more each week and is quite a little wiggle worm. Carl and I love to feel him moving around. We can't wait to meet him! Here is what Tripp is up to this week:

In the last third of pregnancy, he'll double and triple his weight. The average fetus size at this point is 13.6 in.-14.8in and weighs about 1.5-2.2 lbs. Your dexterous baby can touch and hold his feet and make a fist. Your partner may be able to hear his heartbeat by pressing his ear against your belly. Your baby has a regular sleep schedule now and active and inactive periods. You may or may not be able to discern what those periods are. His nostrils, which have been plugged, open up.

To say we had a great holiday week/weekend would be an understatement! I spent most of last week baking and preparing for thursday which I always enjoy! On Thanksgiving we celebrated twice. First we went over to Carl's aunt's house and had a mini-feast with his family. We had a good time and his aunt did a great job! Afterwards we headed over to my mom's house where we feasted once again! All of the food was delicious but Tripp especially enjoyed mom/yaya's dressing and aunt kelly's sweet potatoes! We ate a couple rounds of food throughout the afternoon and then we rounded out the night with some fun games! We had such a great time getting together with family and friends. After a full day of fun we headed straight to bed to prepare for getting up early to partake in our annual black friday shopping! Mom, Kelly, tiffany and I fought the cold weather and stood in line to get some great deals and to watch all the crazy shoppers go bananas...which is the best part! I have posted a picture of our loveliness at 3am!

On Friday morning, after a quick nap, we went on our annual trip to the Christmas tree farm. This has been a tradition in our family since I was a little girl. It is a tradition Carl and I will carry on with Tripp! We enjoyed watching Blake and Jake pick out their tree this year. Here is a picture of all of us (minus mom taking the pic and carl who was working on tripp's dresser) heading out to see all the trees!

To round out all the holiday festivities and to kick off the Christmas season, Dad and Ginger took us all to see 'A Christmas Carol' at the alley theatre followed by a yummy dinner at The Texas Steamboat House, which was delicious!! The play we saw is one that Dad and Mom used to take my sisters and I to every year when we were growing up....another of many traditions we had! It was so neat to see it again. It was the first play Carl and Tripp had ever been to ;) I have of course posted some pics from our fun night out! Enjoy!

Thanks for reading and be sure to check in again soon! How blessed we are! We had a great holiday week and we hope everyone had a blessed thanksgiving and holiday weekend! Have a great week!

24 Weeks Preggers, Birthday Party and Dwight Yoakam!

Carl, Tripp and I: week 24

Wow what an exciting weekend we had! Too much fun to put into words but I will try my best;) First and foremost, we are approaching our 24th week of pregnancy and thanksgiving! Here is what the little trippster is up to this week....besides dancing;)

Baby's now the size of a papaya!(average size is: 10.5-11.8 in. 12.7-20.8oz)
Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, his newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.
Your baby's skin becomes less translucent as pigment is deposited, and it looks wrinkly because his body is making his skin more quickly than it makes the fat to pad underneath it. Your baby's unique hand- and footprints are forming. You may feel jumps as he has bouts of hiccups. In fact, it may seem like the baby is in perpetual motion. Some babies now kick in response to sounds and touch from outside the womb. Encourage your partner to talk to the baby, and see if he kicks in response!

Well tripp has definitely been making his presence known to us daily! He has been wiggling so much that we can even see him move on the outside of my tummy. Carl really gets a kick out of that. I think he is going to be just like his daddy...not being able to sit down for long! Guess my mom and sisters will still be my movie going partners...don't think tripp will like "wasting time" either ;)We are so in love with our little boy already and can't wait to meet him!!

As I said before we had such an amazing weekend...it will be hard to put into words! To kick off the weekend mom and I went and saw New Moon! We went to the movie tavern so for a preggo like me it was heaven...food and a greatly anticipated movie!! WE had a such a good time and really enjoyed the movie! I didn't think anything could top that, but it did. Saturday was my baby nephew Jake's first birthday party. We had a fun time getting together and celebrating. Dad/Chief even got talked into climbing into the moon walk and bouncing around! Jake is so precious and I can't believe he is one already! Here are some pics of the cutie

"Give me that cake!"

"Yum, that was delicious and fun too!"

Happy Birthday Jake!

Dad getting in touch with his inner child;)

After the party, Carl and I got ready to go to see Dwight Yoakam. Carl surprised me with tickets for our anniversary. We went to Saltgrass first for a yummy dinner and then after a quick stop at CVS for some antacids (indigestion...one of the perks of pregnancy) we were off to the concert. All I can say about Dwight's performance is WOW! It was a great show! And to top it off we had great seats and were basically sitting right in front of him! He put on such an awesome performance. Carl and I were worried because we are not used to staying up so late, but as soon as he hit the stage we were wide awake! Tripp even enjoyed it....he was dancing around in my belly the whole time;) Carl and I also enjoyed feeling him moving around. Poor baby was probably wondering what the heck his usually boring parents were doing! Nonetheless, we're pretty sure he's going to be a fan just like us! Like I said before, what an AMAZING weekend! And now we have thanksgiving this week. Tripp and I can't wait to eat some of my mom/YaYa's delicious dressing!! It's my fave part. Not to mention getting together with family and friends! Friday morning Kelly, mom and I will continue our tradition of getting up at 3 am and hitting the black friday sales! What a great week we have ahead of us! I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life!! In closing I have posted some pics from the concert and before. We hope everyone has a blessed week and happy thanksgiving! Remember to give thanks to God for all the blessings in your life! We love you all!!!

23 weeks and a weekend full of birthdays!

Tripp and I at week 23

Here we are at week 23! Baby Tripp is growing and moving like crazy!! Carl and I have even seen his not so subtle movements on the outside of my tummy. It is so much fun to watch and feel!! He is definitely trying to get our attention ;) Here is what Tripp is up to this week:

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when she hears them outside the womb.

Well that explains alot! Tripp loves to jam with me in the car;) I can feel him dancing as we sing along and dance to the music! He's going to be just like his daddy...haha, yea right;)

This past week has been jam packed with exciting events! First of all my dad's birthday was on Thursday followed by my baby nephew jake's birthday on Saturday in which he turned 1! I can't believe he is 1 already. It seems like he was just born yesterday. It makes me conscious of just how fast time flies! We celebrated Jake's birthday on saturday by mom treating us all to a movie (The Christmas Carol) followed by a yummy lunch at fudruckers and dessert at RJ Goodies! We had a great time and are looking forward to Jake's birthday party next weekend. Carl's brother and his wife also had their baby girl on thursday morning. So it really was a week full of birthdays. Today Carl, mom and I went to church and enjoyed a hilarious sermon on "what women want", it was so realistic! Afterwards Carl went over to our friend Lance's house to help him fix a greenhouse and mom and I went and did what we do best...shop and have lunch;) I stopped by lance's to see the boys hard at work and our friend Layne stopped by as well. It was so great getting together with old friends! I just love those boys!

It's hard to believe but Carl and I will celebrate our 2 year anniversary on Tuesday. These 2 wonderful years have flown by. I am so blessed to have Carl in my life. He is a great husband and is going to be a wonderful father! I can't wait to see him with Tripp!! We are truly blessed! Carl surprised me with tickets to see Dwight Yoakam next weekend for our anniversary. So we will spend Tuesday watching Lance coach his basketball team!

Ok, guess I've gone on long enough...carl just asked me if I was writing an essay! Thanks for following our blog this week! We hope everyone has a blessed week!! We will update again soon. I've ended with posting some pics from Saturday...enjoy!

22 weeks preggo and a busy fun weekend

Me and Tripp at the start of 22 weeks!

Here we are at week 22! I can't believe how fast this is going and how big Tripp is growing!! My little bump is definitely growing! As usual here is a peek as to what baby tripp is up to this week:

At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

I have also read that at this point the baby is sleeping 12-14 hours a day. And boy do I know when Tripp is awake, he is still very active...which is great! Carl has been busy working on Tripp's changing table/dresser and the nursery is coming together. My sister has even been giving us lots of clothes and things that her boys have outgrown. So Tripp's closet is already expanding! We recently received the bedding that we ordered. We really like it. It's plain and simple just like we wanted. We are going to jazz it up still, we just have a few more things to get together. Below is a pic of what we have so far.

Tripp's bedding...so far (and his first A&M cap that YaYa bought him)

We had a busy weekend but had a lot of fun! On Friday my sister and youngest nephew came into town while her hubby and oldest went hunting! We took advantage of the day went shopping and had lunch with mom and grandma. It was a lot of fun. Friday night Carl and I went and baby-sat Joshua. It was some more good practice for us! Joshua even made a nasty little mess in his diaper for us;) Guess he wanted to make sure we are prepared! Carl was a little grossed out but handled it well:) Saturday started off with some more shopping with my mom and sisters...we were very productive this weekend;) Saturday night Carl and I went to some friends of ours wedding. Damian and Nina. They are also expecting and are due 2 days after us...with a boy! We had such a great time at their wedding and enjoyed spending time with good friends and family. Jessica, Nina and I all gathered for a fun photo which we realized was Tripp's, Evan's and Judd's first playdate! So many little boys to be running around soon!! As you will see below, we weren't the only 3 preggos at the wedding....could this be the next baby boom?! ;)

I guess I've blogged on long enough for today! Now it is time to wind down and relax after another busy Sunday full of church, lunching with Carl, grocery shopping and cleaning! We hope everyone has a great week!! Thanks for following the schinde squad this week!

Many Blessings,

"a whole lotta shakin goin' on..."

Well maybe not a whole lotta shakin, but a whole lotta movin'! Baby Tripp has been moving around like crazy. It almost feels like he is turning flips in my tummy. We know he's an active little guy, as evident by our ultrasounds, but I just wish he would be a little less active in the middle of the night;) But in all seriousness, I dont mind him moving around and keeping me up...I love to feel him moving. It's amazing how much love I already feel for this little boy and how I would do anything to protect and keep him safe. God is great and we couldn't be happier for our little miracle!

We finally found some baby bedding we are happy with, it is really hard to find bedding that doesn't have some kind of corny theme. We ordered it on Tuesday and I can't wait until it arrives and I can wash and put it on tripp's bed, not that he will be sleeping in it any time soon ;)

So all in all things are going great right now and I have so much energy! I think getting back into working out regularly is making me feel even better. My sister and my baby nephew jake are coming in tomorrow while her hubby and little blake go hunting. I am excited to see them and spend some time with her and mom! I am so lucky to have such a great support system, they can't wait to meet Tripp and jump in to help us out! They are super excited and have even been planning my baby shower from the day I found out!

Well just wanted to give a little mid-week update on how we are holding up. We hope everyone is having a great week and has a fabulous weekend!! Remember to be thankful for all the blessings in your life and to thank God daily! Thanks for checking in! Will be blogging again real soon....

Blessings,

Week 21 and a fun halloween weekend!

Tripp and me at 20 weeks

We are officially past the mid-way mark. Week 21 is upon us!! Here is what our little precious Tripp is up this week:

Baby's now the size of a banana! Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion, and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth.

You may soon feel like he's practicing martial arts as his initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to his activity as you get to know him better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

We can't believe that Tripp is already growing so large! In fact we have noticed how my belly has seemed to sprout a bit over the last few days. There's no mistaking the fact that I am preggers now! Thank goodness ;)

We had a very fun halloween weekend. Friday we kicked off the weekend by attending a birthday party for some of Carl's little cousins. All of the kiddos were dressed in their costume and we all had a great time! Carl even dressed up for work on Friday (only because he had a chance to win some money...and he won first prize last year). He dressed up as Paul Blart: Mall cop. It was pretty funny, I would love to post some pics but he would not let me take any! We continued our halloween celebrations on Saturday. I went out to my sister's to celebrate with my nephews and my fam and some good friends! Poor Carl was stuck at home working on the septic system :( I have posted some pics...enjoy!

the cutest astronaut and skeleton ever!

Me and my 3 boys (baby tripp too)

Sundays are always my favorite day of the week. Carl and I started our day off at church then we went and had lunch at Katz's...which Tripp and I enjoyed very much! Afterwards Carl and I did some baby mattress shopping. Mom and I went shopping after we got home while Carl was mowing. We of course bought a few things for Tripp and a few things for me to wear to cover that growing bump! YaYa ia already spoiling her new grandson...she's had plenty of practice with her other two precious grandsons! We topped off the night with dinner at my mom's house and now it is time to relax with each other :) As always we hope everyone has a safe and blessed week!!

We will update again soon! Thanks for reading this week :)
