Thankful

We had a wonderful thanksgiving week. We are blessed enough to have 3 thanksgivings!! Last weekend we celebrated schindewolf style over at coach's house. On Thanksgiving day we all went over to my mom's for a delicious feast among family and friends. And on Friday we went over to my dad's for another delicious feast!! We are so very blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people:) Thanksgiving week also means black Friday week! My sister and I headed out for our annual shopping trip and got some great finds!! It is a tradition we have and we have so much fun every year!! So now I can say I am officially done Christmas shopping:) I have also mailed out my Christmas cards and have had the house decorated since last week;) We decided since Thanksgiving was so late this year that we would decorate a little early so that the boys could enjoy the tree lights a little longer:) We are in full out Christmas mode:) Today we spent most of the day out on Schindewolf lane helping with decorations. Tripp and Tuck had a blast with daddy, coach and aunt Janelle. Can't wait until it is all finished and on (next weekend:)), make sure to stop by! Ok enough babbling, here are some pictures.

Tucker

This past week we celebrated Tucker's big second birthday! As I mentioned before, this was a huge celebration given all this poor baby has been through in the past year! Monday was his actual birthday so we started the day with the traditional birthday donut, then I took him to the mall for a carousel ride, chick fil a and a present from the Disney store. When Carl got home we had dinner and went for some birthday ice cream. It was a great day!

Wednesday tucker had his third endoscopy procedure. The worst part is the nothing to eat or drink after midnight. Poor guy cried most of the way in to the hospital because he was hungry! All in all the procedure went well. He has been doing so well that I was expecting to hear that his inflammation (in his duodenum) was much better. However, the doctor revealed to us that it was actually worse and that now he has ulcers and more redness and irritation in new places in and around his stomach. This is all new. We won't know much more until the paths come back. Talk about 1 step forward 2 steps back. Hopefully we will know more on Monday. Other than that, he came out of anesthesia quick and was back to normal in no time:) they were also able to draw his blood to use for his whole xsome test, while he was under anesthesia. Carl and I had to go back in on Thursday to sign a whole bunch of paper work and give blood to be sent with Tucker's. This test will take about 4-6 months to get back, but we are hoping it will provide us with some answers. After Carl and I got our blood drawn, tucker clapped for us and said "yay mama and dada"! Poor guy is so used to it being him and that is how we react to him. Bless his heart!

Friday we had to go in for Tucker's 2 year well check. All went well and luckily we were up to date on our shots so tucker didn't have to get any!! I was so relieved! Our pediatrician's office is so great and they were all excited to see tucker and see how well he is doing. We are so blessed with a great doctor and staff. So it was quite a week!! We are looking forward to some down time and celebrating thanksgiving:) we start our celebrations tonight with the Schindewolf family! Carl is frying his first turkey, we'll see how it goes;)

Last night we took the boys to see Santa. They were both so excited, until it was time! Tripp was ok but tucker would not have it! He wouldn't even sit on his lap as you will see below;) oh well! It was a fun family night:)

Celebrations and Blessings:)

We had a weekend full of celebrations! Our family has a lot of November birthdays so we are always really busy! Saturday morning we all met to celebrate jake at chuck-e-cheese. Tripp had a blast!! Cannot believe my little nephew is 5!!

Saturday afternoon we had a celebration for tucker. This celebration was super special because it was a reminder of all we have to be thankful for. In preparation for Tucker's party, I ended up going through a lot of pictures from the past year. I got really emotional thinking of all our little baby has been through. two hospitalizations, an NG tube, surgery, a G-tube, 2 endoscopy's, 1  colonoscopy, 2 iron infusions, not to mention numerous painful blood draws and testing, and that is just to name a few. In the mean time he has come a long way! He has since graduated occupational and physical therapy, eating ALOT, no longer being fed through his tube and has started walking and running everywhere!! This is all a reminder of how blessed we are and just how great and big our God is. Although we are still awaiting answers, what we do know is that tucker is getting better and doing so well! We know who is healing him! For that we are grateful:) So like I said, yesterday was more than a celebration of 2 wonderful years but also of good health and many more years to come! We want to extend a special thank you to all of our wonderful family and close friends who celebrated with us. We are hoping tucker is much healthier next year and able to have a huge celebration!! And a very special thank you to coach for letting us host at his house!! Here are some pictures:)

It's hard to believe that it has been 6 years and 2 boys later:) I guess what they say is true, time flies when you're having fun:) Carl is an amazing man, an amazing father, and an overall amazing husband. I am beyond blessed and thankful that God placed him in my life. Here's to 6 years and so many more!! Love you Carl James:)

This week Tucker will not only celebrate his actual 2nd birthday but will undergo his third endoscopy
procedure, and get his two year old shots please keep our sweet boy in your prayers:) Thank you all and thanks for stopping by!

Blessed

I am so blessed by such Godly friends and family who are able to bring me back up when life gets hard. Without going into detail, life has thrown us a few more curveballs recently. Luckily things with tuck have slowed down. It's still very hard to deal with everything sometimes. I just have to remember that if God is for us who can be against us! This time of year is already hard, being the anniversary of Susie's passing and another reminder that she is not here. The enemy really knows how to kick me when I'm down. Well I refuse to back down:) God is good and faithful! I just felt the need to share my struggles as I'm sure we all have them:)

On a positive note, things with tucker are still going well and we are currently trying to get the ball rolling on the big genetics test ( whole xsome). Because it is so extensive it will likely take 6-8 months to come back. I'm ok waiting as long as he keeps making such great progress:) he goes in for his third endoscopy next week to check on the inflammation. Please keep him in your prayers!

Last week marked a year since we lost our Grammy. Hard to believe. I still miss her and think about her daily. The boys and I decorated pumpkins for her and took them to her gravesite. While we were there the boys ran around playing and laughing. It was a gloomy day but at that moment there was a huge ray of sunshine! We knew who it was and could feel her presence:) I'm sure she enjoyed watching the boys running around:) that evening we had coach over and we had spaghetti in honor of Susan. I asked him of a meal that reminded him of her the most and he said spaghetti, that it was always her "go to meal"! So spaghetti it was! We miss her so much but we know she is always around watching over us.

This next weekend we celebrate Tucker's second birthday! It is more than a birthday celebration but a celebration of life and health! We have been to hell and back this past year, but through our faithful Father we have come a long way!! Wish we could have a big party, maybe next year!!

This past weekend we celebrated Kate and my dad, who both share a birthday tomorrow:) tuck and I were weren't able to make Kate's party this year, but Carl and Tripp had a blast!! Happy 4th sweet girl:) we also had dinner at my dad's house to celebrate him on Saturday night. It was fun getting together and watching all the boys play:) can't wait for the holidays! This next week we celebrate my precious nephew jake's 5th birthday too!! Can't believe how big he is!! We will round out next week celebrating 6 wonderful years of marriage:) we are blessed!! November is a busy month for us!! Ok enough rambling here are some recent pics:)

Carl and I at the texans game last week! We had great seats right on the 50 yard line and had a blast:) love this man!!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope all have a blessed week!
