Our Guardian Angel

This past week has been the hardest week of our life. We lost the heart of our family, our grammy, to a long hard fought battle with cancer. I am unable to put into words what she meant to me and us, but I am going to try. All I can say is that I had the absolute privilege of getting to know susie and growing very close to her, if you know her you know that is not hard to do. She was never a mother in law to me, she was a mom and for that I am grateful. I look up to her and respect her more than I can ever describe in words. I've said it before and I will say it 100 times more, I aspire to be like her in all that I do. She was such an example of kindness, selflessness, love, family, and so much more. I am so blessed to have had the chance to have her in my life, even for just a little while, I'm a better person because of it. My boys loved their grammy and always will. She will forever live on within our hearts and our home. We now know that we have our very own guardian angel:) We love you grammy/mom and we will miss you so very much but we know we will see you again one day:) keep watching over us:)

We have been overwhelmed by so much love, support and prayers. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We wish we could thank you each personally, but know that we appreciate each and every one of you. Please continue to pray for us and for don. Learning to go on without her around is going to be very difficult, but we know we can do it because that's what susie would want us to do.
