4th of July Weekend

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend! But mostly we enjoyed having carl home for an extra day and a half! Friday Carl only worked half a day and then he joined us for some gymboree open gym. Tripp loved having daddy tag along and carl got a good look at how much fun we have:) Afterwards we ran some errands then went home and got right to work on cleaning out our spare bedroom so we can start tucker's nursery. Poor carl spent the evening moving furniture and painting! Grammy and Coach even watched tripp for a little bit so we could get a little more done. It was a very productive night! Saturday we continued cleaning and organizing and while tripp and I enjoyed a 2 hour nap carl finished painting tucker's room. Poor daddy worked very hard on his long weekend off....we love him so much! Saturday night coach and grammy came over for a yummy dinner and of course some great entertainment provided by our lil man;) Sunday we slept in a little bit, and got right back to work! By we, I of course mean carl;) We got so much done and feel one step closer to having our 2nd little boy join our family! Sunday night we had a great dinner with some great friends and tripp got to play with his newest buddy, baby max! He did really good with him, hopefully a good sign for the future:) And finally today...it was a little more relaxing:) We went to a 4th of july parade in my mom's neighborhood which tripp really enjoyed! He especially loved the firetruck and got really excited when they went by! We came home, spent some time in the yard with grammy and coach and then we went over to adam and jessica's for a fun and yummy barbeque. It was such a great weekend and we feel so blessed to have such great family and friends. Tripp and I felt especially blessed to have carl around so much this weekend:) Below are some pictures from our weekend and a few from the past week...enjoy!
