Happy birthday coach!

We just wanted to wish coach a very happy birthday!! Tripp and tucker are so lucky to have a coach like you! It's obvious how much tripp enjoys spending time with you and we love to see the special bond you share with your grandson and no doubt other grandson as well:) Tripp loves spending time with his coach and especially loves: wagon rides, running down schindewolf lane, walking rocky, exploring, but most of all riding coach's john deere with him! the boys can't wait until you can teach them to play baseball!! Thanks for being such a great coach to our boys!! enjoy your day:)

where to begin??

There has been so much going on in the schindewolf household this past week! Last week we had some fun playdates with fun friends. Thursday Brenden, graham and claire came over for a playdate. We celebrated bren's bday a little late with some chick-fil-a and some girly chit-chat:) Tripp and his best buddy graham had a ball running around like crazy!! We even took them out in the backyard and I blew up the bounce house. Needless to say they bounced their little booties off:) Tripp took a very good long nap that day;) So happy that tripp and graham are such good buddies because their mama's are too;) Thursday afternoon grammy had kate over at their house so she brought her over for some bouncin' fun as well! Tripp loves playing with kate too. On a negative note, tucker wasn't acting like his usual self and was extremely fussy. I even took him to the doctor on wednesday morning because he was throwing up alot. The doctor thought it might be his formula so she advised us to try a more sensitive one. So we did. Well that just made it worse! All day thursday he would throw up his bottles. They told us to keep him on the new formula for 24 hours. So we pushed through with no luck. We then were told to try soy formula, we did and again no luck. Thursday night tucker kept getting worse. We laid him down for sleep and after an hour he started throwing up again. From that point on things went downhill. He kept throwing up and even started dry heaving when there was nothing left. He was so lethargic and not his normal self. I started to get worried and we decided to take him on the emergency room. We got to the ER around 10:30pm and tucker was still dry heaving and running a low grade fever. My mom came up to the hospital and carl's mom stayed at our house while tripp was sleeping. After a long wait, we got into a room and started giving tucker pedialyte. After he drank the pedialyte, he perked up and seemed to be doing better. The ER doctor came in, checked him out and wanted to keep him for a while longer for observation. After about another hour he was released. We got home around 2am and put tuck down. He slept until about 5 then woke up throwing up again! I made an appointment with our pediatrician and took him in friday morning. He got checked out once again and the doctor determined it was some sort of virus. He told us to only give him pedialyte for the next 24 hours and prescribed us an anti-nausea medication. Since tucker has plenty of weight to spare the doctor wasn't worried about him missing formula for a day. Well I am happy to report that tucker is much better and completely back to normal. He has been downing his formula like there is no tomorrow;) Guess he's trying to catch up;) We are so thankful this wasn't a contagious virus and are so happy our boy is back to his perky little self again. So much so that the past 2 nights he has gone down at 7:30 and not woken up until at least 6 am!! Thank you so much to yaya, grammy and coach for all your help:)

We also spent some time with my mom, my sisters, my nephews and the schindewolf family this weekend too. We had yummy lunch, did some shopping and celebrated coach's birthday!

In other big news, tripp has started peeing in the potty!! after watching kate at grammy's house, grammy put him on the potty and he peed. So I bought a cars potty seat, of course, and he has been peeing in the potty. He hasnt quite figured out to tell me before he goes and he is still wearing diapers, but we  ask him if he needs to go periodically through the day and he runs to the bathroom, sits on the potty and pee pees!! He of course gets a huge round of applause as well;) His favorite part is washing his hands and flushing the toilet:) We will see how it goes!

Enough with the cit chat...here are some pictures...

5 months

our precious boy
Our sweet tucker bug is now 5 months old! He is such a big boy with such a sweet and laid back personality. I can't believe how fast he is growing!! Sometimes I wish I could press pause!! Here are some of the things our handsome boy is up to:

  • wearing some 9 and mostly 12 month clothing
  • size 4 diapers
  • eating some solids
  • drinks about 6-7 oz. every 4-5 hours
  • still sleeping through the night but lately has been getting up once during the night for a bottle (we think he might be teething)
  • rolls all over the place!
  • tries so hard to sit up
  • has found his toes and loves to lay in his bed, hold them and roll back and forth
  • likes to sleep on his side
  • "talks" alot!
  • loves being outside
  • seems to be really attached to mommy these days
  • likes to hold on to and grasp things with his hands
  • loves to hold on to my fingers while eating his bottle
  • smiles all the time
Our little man is such a big boy! Last time we went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago, he was weighing in at about 20 and a half pounds. He is super sweet and laid back, as I said before, and he is so alert and observant all the time. He loves watching his brother run around like a crazy man but does not like it when his brother is being loud. In fact, he does not like loud noises at all! He gets super fussy and upset. We love our little tuck tuck mason so much!! I love being a mommy to two sweet boys and a wife to a wonderful man. I am a very lucky and blessed girl!! Below are some recent pictures of our baby boy. Enjoy:)

Tripp Ryder

daddy took me to play at the construction site

riding my 4 wheeler

refused to get off my 4-wheeler so I ate my dinner on it!

My big boy is growing up so fast!
Seems like just yesterday he was just a little guy totting around and now he's a boy running like crazy! He is changing so much everyday and has gotten so tall! He looks just like his daddy...watch out girls;) I just wanted to blog about some of the things tripp has been up to.

From day one this little boy loves being outdoors. He especially loves running through the pasture, playing in the dirt, splashing in puddles and mud, playing with rocky and blue, trying to climb trees, riding on the 4 wheeler with daddy, and riding on the good ol john deere with coach! We love living on land and love living so near our families:)

Although he's not talking he is starting to say more and communicates really well. This morning we called Carl and left him a message, tripp said " hi Da" and then he said "bye!" It was so cute and I know daddy loved it! Tripp also says ma, bruh for brother, guh for Grammy, co for coach, ya for yaya, Chee for chief, then jay, bay, and Kay, for his cousins. He has his own word for mickey mouse (buh) haven't figured that one out yet;) and guh for milk which he says because he is trying to make the "k" sound at the end of milk. He says lots of other things too like ball, ba for bat, etc. He also can say pretty much the first sound of most words. We are getting there slowly but surely:) he does get really frustrated when he tries to tell us something and we don't understand.
Tripp also gets frustrated really easily! If he is playing with a toy and it doesn't do what he wants he gets mad starts shaking and usually bites the toy! Haha. Think he gets the easy frustration from his mama;)

Tripp LOVES playing with cars and trucks! He loves all kinds and will spend all day lining them up, rolling them around and making "vroooom" noises. He is such a little boy! He also loves riding on his riding toys inside and out and goes so fast!

Tripp is a sweet little boy and loves his brother. If tucker is crying and I am making a bottle or something, he will go over to him and pat him or try to pick him up (which he can't do:)) he has also learned to put his finger to his mouth and say "shhhhhh" when brother is sleeping. Although, tripps finger usually ends up on his nose when he does this, but he has got the idea;) he also has started making this surprised face and noise all the time, like "huuuuuuuh". Daddy taught him that one while looking at tires one day:)

Our little boy is growing up and we just love him so much. Tripp ryder, you are such a joy in our lives. We love you more than you will ever know! I love you my lil darlin'!
Enjoy the pictures:)

Happy Easter 2012

We had a super fun Easter weekend! To top it off Carl had off half a day Friday so we got lots of quality time with daddy:) Carl even said to me last night, now I can see why you're always so exhausted! :) we spent a lot of time outside, which the boys love! Friday night we had dinner with Carl's parents and aunt janelle. Saturday we played around, put the boys down for nap, them headed over to my dad's for an Easter celebration and some fun in the sun. Tripp and Carl went swimming and boy did tripp love it! Our little boy has no fear and jumped right in and kept sinking his own head under water! Definitely will be looking into swimming lessons ASAP!

Easter Sunday we spent with both our families and some good friends out on good ol' Schindewolf lane. We had lots of yummy food and lots of fun. It was a beautiful day and another reminder of how blessed we are. The kids ran around and played outside and we even had a fun Easter egg hunt. Tripp wasn't too interested in the hunt, only eating the candy inside the eggs;) can't wait for tucker bug to join the fun next year...this year he took a nice long nap while the festivities were taking place:) thanks to all who came out and brought all kinds of goodies. And a special thanks to yaya and Grammy who provided the yummy ham, brisket and most of the sides too:) I love our family traditions...I even made a bunny cake, a tradition in my family that I'm carrying on for my boys. Enjoy the few pictures I took below. I got so carried away in the day I forgot to take very many pictures:(
