Spring

We have been loving all this spring time weather and have been spending most of our days outside! We are going to enjoy every second before it gets too hot:) just thought I would update with some fun recent pics of my babies:)

We also took a trip to the aquarium recently with my sister and nephew. The boys loved it!!

Loved looking at the sharks!

Boys and their trucks:)

Tucker likes to haul his puppy around with him:)

This morning Tripp purposely closed his eyes when I told him to smile (just like his daddy). When I was gushing about how cute he is and how much he looks like his daddy, he looked at me and said in an annoyed tone: "calm down mom" haha!!

Having a picnic, playing outside and having some quiet time, nothing like it!

Thanks for stopping by!

April 3rd

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for several reasons. First of all it was Grammy's birthday, her second since she has been gone. This day is never easy. It's a reminder that she is no longer with us. However, we have started a tradition of having spaghetti (her "go to meal" as don calls it) and cake and going to visit her at the cemetery. So all day the boys and I talked about the day and going to visit grammy's grave. They even colored her some pictures. When we got to the cemetery, without cue Tripp started singing happy birthday to Grammy. I had to fight back my tears. At that moment we all joined it. It was so sweet and precious and I know she was smiling down on us at that moment.

Yesterday was also my sister and brother in law's 10th anniversary! So tucker and I bought them some champagne and a card after we dropped Tripp off at school! It was nice having something happy to celebrate too:)

Yesterday was also tripp's 4 year well check. He has been 4 for a month now but I totally dropped the ball on scheduling his appointment. I'm always so on top of these things, but have been so distracted with Tucker's medical appointments that it totally slipped my mind! Guess I won't be winning mom of the year;) anyways it was a great check up, despite the 4 shots!! Tripp handled it like a champ and all the sweet office ladies had candy and stickers waiting for him when he was done:) he is nice and healthy and is in the 95th percentile for height AND weight! The doc also commented on how muscular our little guy is:) love my big boy!!

So we had a busy day yesterday full of lots of emotions. I miss Susan so much but have to remember God has a bigger plan and I need to have faith in that:) I know that she is our guardian angel and is always with us, that gives me comfort:)

Hope all are having a great day! Thanks again for stopping by!

This kid was loving flipping some tires daddy had!

Did great with the bunny!!

Hanging outside with my boys!

Love you Grammy!!!

A Day out with Thomas

Last weekend we traveled to grapevine, TX to attend "A Day out with Thomas". The boys have been looking forward to this day for a month! I bought the tickets back in February and we had been talking about it all month! We decided to make a weekend of it, so carl took off last Friday and we drove up to Dallas that morning. We had planned on going to the zoo but it was a rainy day, so we settled for lunch and a trip to the mall. Afterwards we went to our hotel and went swimming! Carl booked a hotel with an indoor pool. The boys had a blast! That night we all went out to dinner then went to bed to prepare for our big day with Thomas. Needless to say we had a great time and although the morning started out pretty chilly, it ended up being a perfect day for Thomas! We had a great time and made some great memories!! I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking for now:)

 love my boys:)

 "patiently" waiting for Thomas

 Here comes Thomas!

Tripp was so excited to stand on the tracks:)

Tripp wanted to give the man his ticket:)

It was a great day and we had so much fun!! Totally recommend it to any one with any little Thomas fans out there!

Update

We have been so busy lately that I haven't had a chance to update the blog on tucker. I received a call from our GI doc about 2 weeks ago regarding tuck's last endoscopy/colonoscopy procedure. After consulting with the pathologist, his inflammation is still there just better than it was last time, which is great! However, still no answers as to why it is there. They also found that he has a granuloma in his stomach, which he has previously not had. A granuloma is basically a mass of tissue which can be indicative of infection, inflammation and several other things. From what I understand, it is not going to lead us to a diagnosis necessarily but she said all the docs will think it is interesting and can certainly help narrow down the diagnosis process. We are also still awaiting results from the full xsome test that is still out on tucker. Hoping to get those results in the next month. Other than that, tucker is doing great and thriving well! He eats so much and is growing everyday! He has such a precious personality and is super sweet and friendly. God has really been working on our sweet boy. We are praying that we will finally get some answers this year and be able to get our boy completely healed and back on track:) we have faith and know that God has a plan for him and we are going to continue to trust in Him. Thank you all for your continued prayers and support, it means so much to us and has made such a huge difference in his and our lives.

On another note, we took the boys to grapevine, tx last weekend to ride Thomas the train. They absolutely loved it and it was a great family trip. I will be updating with pictures soon:)

Love you all! Hope all have a blessed week!

Tucker update

Yesterday tucker went in for his 4th endoscopy and 2nd colonoscopy. This kid is a trooper and is most definitely my hero!! The day before the procedure we had to start the 'prep' for this procedure. I had been dreading that day for weeks. It is absolutely awful. Well in a nutshell it started out rough but my tough little man powered through and didn't whine at all! He even slept all night without having had anything to eat besides popcicles and juice. The ride into the hospital was pretty good, aside from his little booty being sore from all the pooping (for lack of a better term;)). Anyways, he was in such a good mood and all the nurses just loved him!! They went on and on about how cute he is:) he is such a little ham even under the worst circumstances. Anyways, the procedure took about 2 hours. He did great. From the looks of it the doctor told us that the inflammation looks much better, but will have to wait until the biopsies come back to see if that is correct. Sometimes it can appear to look good, but microscopically there can be severe inflammation. This has happened to us before. So we should know by Friday. However, I am so happy to see that it looks better. Compared to last time when it was really inflamed and he has ulcers too. So praise be to God!!! Here are a few pics of our trooper:)

These first two pics are of tuck during his prep! You would never know!

Waiting to be taken back, with a smile on his face!

Poor guy was out!

This picture is a good depiction of our champ and my hero!!!

Thanks for stopping by and thank you for your thoughts and prayers, we could definitely feel them:) please continue to pray for answers for our baby!! Love you all:)
