Happy Birthday Daddy!!

We had a great weekend! And Carl had a great birthday weekend. We kicked off the weekend friday by having dinner with lance and michelle at their new house! We felt privileged to have been the first guests they have cooked for! Tripp had a blast with his uncle lance and aunt michelle. Saturday tripp and mommy woke up early and decorated the kitchen for daddy. Mommy even wrapped daddy's present with a big blue bow...did you see it above?! However daddy's present was not cooperative and decided he wanted to eat the bow...haha! Tripp was really excited to celebrate daddy's birthday:)

Saturday, since the poor birthday boy had to spend most of his day mowing, tripp and I headed off to go shopping with yaya, aunt mo, and blake and jake. We had fun spending part of the day with them and even stopped by a yummy cupcake shop called frost (definitely recommend it!!) to pick up some treats for carl. Saturday night tripp went to spend some time with his yaya while carl and I went out for this birthday. We went to the movie tavern and had such a nice night out together. Thanks mom!! Today we rounded out the weekend by spending some time with adam, jessica, judd and joshua then heading over to carl's parents for a yummy steak dinner to continue carl's birthday celebration. Like I said it was a really fun weekend. Below are some pictures from the past week...enjoy!

So our little boy has been quite busy lately. He has discovered his own voice and loves to scream a very high pitched scream all day long! It's pretty cute but a little ear piercing;) tripp is very active and smiley all the time. He laughs and plays so much! He is just such a little cutie with such a precious personality!! We love this little boy to pieces!!

So I have just have to make note that this is my 100th post! Wow!! We have had a very busy, very fun past couple of days! Thursday night we were able to go out to eat with adam, jessica, joshua and judd. It was a little hectic with the 3 boys but oh so much fun! Friday we went over to one of my best friends parent's house for a yummy cookout and to go swimming. Tripp had a blast in the pool kicking his legs and relaxing with daddy! We enjoyed getting together with the allums family! We love them so much and had a blast!! Below are a few pictures of our night!

On Saturday night we headed out to baytown to drop tripp off with his aunt mo, uncle buck and cousins blake and jake while carl and I headed off to one of our good friend's wedding. Tripp had a blast over there and didn't cry one bit! Uncle Buck even held tripp in what they refer to as "the birdhold" almost always guaranteed to put their boys to sleep when they were babies. Well as you will see in the picture it worked for tripp too! Right before his bath he zonked out and they said he was even drooling on himself! Thanks Kelly, Blake, Blake Jr. and Jake! Tripp had a blast!

We had so much fun at Bailey and Ryan's wedding. Bailey looked beautiful of course and Ryan is a lucky man! It was so much fun getting together with old friends!! What a fun night...here are some pictures from the wedding.

Like I said it has been a busy but fun couple of days! However, our little guy had a rough night last night. He has been congested and could not breathe well and didn't sleep good at all...neither did mommy! Hopefully he will feel better soon, might have to make another visit to the doc tomorrow! Mommy doesn't like her baby being sick and has been giving him extra love and care!

What a Big Boy!

So our little boy tried his first cereal on tuesday night. Here's how it went...

Haha! It was quite the show. Carl videotaped and then we switched and I took some snapshots! He didn't seem to be too interested. We have since tried it a few more times and he seems to be liking it more now! We will see.

Yesterday tripp and I hosted bible study at our house. We made lunch, some snacks, and a cake for jessica's birthday! My sister and her boys even made it by. It was crazy. Between the five of us girls we had...2 4 month old boys, 1 5 month old boy, 1 2 year old boy, 1 1year old boy, 1 13 year old boy, 1 6 year old boy and 1 8 month old girl! To say it was chaotic would be an understatment! It was really fun though and fun to watch all the kids play together. We had a blast. And amongst all the chaos God still allowed us the oppurtunity to dive into his word! What a blessing!! Here are some pictures from the past week. Enjoy!

4 month stats

Well we went to the doctor today for Tripp's 4 month well check. Here are his stats at 4 months:

weight: 17.15 lbs
height: 26 1/2 in.
head circ.: 44 1\2

Apparently our big man is in the 90th percentile for both height and weight and the 97th for his head! I told carl it is because he has such a big brain....like his mommy;)

The doctor also told us that we could start introducing solid food into his diet! We think he will like this! So tonight cereal is on the menu!! Don't worry I will post an update with pictures from his first big boy meal!!

Overall we have a healthy and active little boy. And tripp could very well be teething so we were told to keep a close eye on that.

Just wanted to post a little update on our big man. Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th and has a great rest of the week!!

Happy 4 Months Tripp!!

Tripp Ryder 4 months

Well here we are at month 4. I cannot believe how big my little boy is getting. It literally seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home and scared to death as what to do with this new little baby! Now we are like pros;) As usual here are some things our big boy is up to now:

• chews on hands and teethers
• drools all the time!
• blows spit bubbles
• drinks 6-7oz. at each feeding
• eats periodically during the day...just whenever he feels like it
• still loves to be outside
• loves the sound of rain
• laughs out loud...especially when daddy plays rough with him!
• wearing size 6 and 9 month clothing
• grabs and holds toys
• loves for daddy to hold him and walk around....calms him so much!
• sweats a lot!
• loves to splash in the tub
• likes his paci at bedtime now
• takes his bath around 7:30 and goes down about 8pm
• usually sleeps until about 5 am, but lately has been waking around 3 for a bottle (we think his possible teething may be waking him)
• really likes tv! even turns his head to see it when eating his bottle! (just like daddy:))
• is really strong and tries to stand on his legs
• holds his head up pretty good...but not all the way just yet!
• loves to play under his activity mat
• likes to wrestle with his sock monkey
• is really great in the mornings...must be a morning person like mommy and daddy!

As you can see little tripper has been quite a busy little boy these days. He continues to grow and change everyday. I love him so much more than words can say. Here are a few things I love:

• love when my little guy falls asleep on my chest
• love how he grabs my shirt and fingers while eating
• love that sometimes he just wants his mommy
• melts my heart when he smiles his big smile
• also love to hear him laugh!
• love to watch him and his daddy together...so precious
• love to lay him in bed with me in the morning and watch him sleep

Overall I just love being his mommy!

We have had a fun weekend full of family and food! Just the way a holiday weekend should be! Friday carl was sweet to watch tripp while mom and I went to see eclipse...which was great by the way! Saturday we went over to dad's for a bbq and got to spend time with chief, ging, aunt mo, uncle buck, blake and jake. We had fun eating yummy food and hanging out! Today we spent the day at yaya's and had some more yummy food!! Tripp had so much fun that he even took a 2 hour nap! YaYa was even sweet enough to watch tripp while I went and did some grocery shopping! The rest of the weekend we plan on resting and having some family time! We are excited that carl has the day off tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a blessed 4th of july!

Well just wanted to post a little update on what tripp has been up to! We go to his 4 month well check up this week, Carl will be going with us since he has to get shots and mommy is a wimp! Just a few pictures...

my almost 4 month old darlin'!

Hard to believe but our little tripper is almost 4 months old! He will be on the 4th of July! I will of course have a blog post dedicated to his 4 month birthday soon, but I just wanted to post a few pictures for fun! Tripp has been a little more fussy than usual and we are pretty sure it is because he is teething. Bless his little heart...and mommy's too:) We have a fun weekend ahead full of family activities and tripp will get to spend some time with his cousins blake and jake!
