8 months

Our little tuck tuck mason is now 8 months old!!! He is growing up way too fast!! Can't believe my baby is so big:/ He is doing so many fun things now and has such a sweet and laid back personality. He looks like his mama but acts like his daddy:) Here are some of the things he is up to these days.

-have been trying new foods and so far he can eat: turkey, chicken, beef and butternut squash (we are still trying more)
-drinks about 4-5 bottles a day (allimentum formula)
-is a great sleeper!! sleeps from about 7:30-6:30/7am
-size 4 diapers
-12-18 month clothing (more on the 18 month side!!)
-loves to jump!!!
-is trying soooo hard to crawl
-loves to stand on his legs (especially in his exersaucer and jumpy thing in the doorway)
-thinks tripp is hilarious and loves to watch him play
-grabs the spoon when we feed him and tries to shove in his own mouth!
-is a bit of a mommy's boy!
-loves his daddy and lights up whenever he walks in the door!
-has 2 bottom teeth...finally!!!
-tries to walk around in his walker (goes backward right now)
-has been in a "big boy" carseat for about a month now...doing great!
-is so smiley!!!
-is so sweet and laid back

I'm sure I'm forgetting so many things! He is just so precious and growing up way too fast!! I love my little boys to pieces:) Ok here are some pictures, starting with a few from carl's birthday yesterday...enjoy!!

Happy "carl" eve!

Before I get started, I would again like to ask you to continue praying for our grammy! We strongly believe in the power of prayer!! Thanks so much to all of you. We love you grammy:)

Ok, so today is "carl" eve, that's right the day before my wonderful hubby turns 29! Last night we celebrated over at his parent's house with subway (carl's fave) and a yummy cookie cake (another of carl's faves). The cake almost didn't make it over...our little tornado got a hold of it. Well he actually lifted the box off the counter, brought it to me and then dropped it on the ground. Luckily it broke into pieces in the box so it was still edible just not so pretty. Carl and I put it back together and laughed the whole time, it was really hard to get mad at something like that:) We had a great time getting together and tripp enjoyed playing outside with cousin kate. Below are a few recent pictures. Be sure and look again tomorrow for carl's birthday post and the next day for tucker's 8 month post...lots going on this week in the schindewolf house! Enjoy the pics!!

turkey

Have I mentioned lately that I.HATE.CANCER. I hate its guts! It may have made our grammy sick, but it has NOT changed her spirit, her attitude or her sense of humor! We love our grammy and we pray for her every day! And we ask that you all pray for her too:) We are strong believers in the power of prayer! We love you grammy!!

Ok, just had to get that out;) On a lighter note, tucker tried turkery with gravy (baby food) yesterday and he had NO reaction!! Hence the title of this blog post;) We are super excited! So we now know that he can eat butternut squash and turkey! This is huge for us! Here's to trying new foods with no reactions:)

My boys have been keeping me busy as usual. They are so funny and growing so fast! Tucker will be 8 months soon:) I will update again soon with more details on the boys. But for now, just a few pictures.

4th of july and prayers please

Before I start in with all my usual ramblings, I wanted to ask for prayers for my sweet mother in law and my boy's grammy. She is having some complications with her cancer and we can't pray enough for her. We are asking God to perform a miracle on her and heal her:) She is so strong and has been fighting like Hell! We just love her so much and want her to come home (she has been in the hospital for a few days). We believe in the power of power...so all prayers are welcome!! Thanks so much!

Ok, we had a great fourth of july! We spent part of the day hanging out with grammy and coach at the hospital and part of the day having a feast at my mom's. We took the boys up to see grammy in the morning. Tripp of course kept us all entertained by first getting stuck in a cabinet, then trying to pull up the sliding door in the bathroom, looking for planes out the window with coach and best of all, having a dance party and boogying down!Tucker was super excited to see grammy and couldn't stop smiling at her, except when he got a little fussy due to his teeth. All in all, it was a great visit but we are so ready for grammy to come home. The boys are so used to seeing her almost everyday! We love you grammy and are ready to see you back on the lane. Afterwards we headed over to my mom's where she had a feast waiting for us! I even got to make a fruit pizza I have been wanting to try, see pic below. All of it was delicious. We then headed home and relaxed as a family and all hit the sack early! Carl headed back to work this morning and the boys and I are falling back into our normal routine.

So that's about it for now, just please keep praying for susan!

updates, baby lily, birthdays and more:)

This has been a busy, stressful and super fun weekend all in one! First, an update on tucker: It all started thursday with our trip down to texas children's to see a gastro specialist for tucker. Basically, the doctor does think that tucker has some sort of food allergies. Unfortunately, due to his age there is not a lot they can do to find out what. So we have to use the "trial and error" method. She gave us a list of safer foods to try. She also put him back on acid reflux meds, not because he has reflux, but to help protect his esophogus and such when/if  he does have a reaction to food. she also told us that he will not be able to switch to milk at 1 years of age, like we did with tripp, he will likely be on formula until at least 18 months and then if he cannot tolerate milk we will have to order a special formula for him until he is a little older. She is calling this a milk protein/soy allergy for now. The original plan was to try food and keep journaling and go back in two months to re-evaluate. However, since friday plans have changed a bit. I decided to try the first of the safe foods on friday morning. It was rice cereal mixed with his formula. I even went to HEB and bought an organic rice cereal that did not contain dairy, wheat, or soy. I figured we were safe. I was wrong! About 2 hours after he ate less than half a tablespoon, he was throwing up and dry heaving for hours. He was so leathargic and couldn't keep anything down. He continued until the evening at which time I gave him pedialite and he went to sleep. We tried a bottle of formula the next morning but his tummy wasn't ready and it came back up. It wasn't until about noon the next day that he finally kept a bottle down and started getting back to normal. I ended up calling the gastro specialist to let them know what happened. They now want us to come back in on monday for an abdominal ultrasound. Hopefully we will get some answers soon! Please keep us in your prayers:) I am happy to report that tucker is completely back to normal today and we plan to relax and enjoy the day as a family:)

I also hosted a baby shower for a great friend and "cousin-in-law" Jessica this weekend. We had a "clothes and bows" party since she is having her first little girl!! It was super fun and we had a great time getting together with some family and good friends. We can't wait to meet baby Lily! I'm so glad so many of my close friends are having girls, I will have to borrow and spoil them since I have been blessed with handsome boys;) Our good friend brenden even brought her precious little claire along to hang with the girls...we loved it!!

Saturday evening we traveled to baytown for a surprise birthday party for my sister's 30th birthday. We had a fun time and tripp enjoyed running around like a crazy man with his cousins. Due to all of our events, we unfortunately had to miss another surprise birthday for our friend Jace who also turned the big 3-0!! Happy birthday kel and jace!!

We had a great weekend and are enjoying a lazy day at home with our family:) Below are some pictures:) btw, I am really missing my nikon!! hoping it will be back soon:)
